Management Team

Chris McKinzie - Chief Executive Officer
Chris McKinzie brings more than 12 years of technology management and business development experience to Fluid Innovation. Prior to co-founding Fluid Innovation, he created and managed a team to license internally developed software for SBC Communications (now AT&T), where he served as director for SBC Knowledge Ventures. He also served as director of corporate strategy for SBC. Previously, he headed business development and VAR relationships at two software start-up companies and also spent two years with the AM Fund, a venture capital firm focused on the commercialization of university research. Mr. McKinzie began his career with Kinetics Technology International, a large petrochemical engineering and construction firm, where he held various positions in finance, procurement and project management. He holds a degree in finance from California State University - Fullerton and an MBA from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University.
Andrew Allemann - Founder, CFO

Andrew Allemann is an experienced intellectual property professional and entrepreneur. Prior to co-founding Fluid Innovation, he gained intellectual property experience at SBC Knowledge Ventures, where he was responsible for generating multi-million dollar licensing agreements for SBC's software intellectual property portfolio. Prior to SBC he worked for enterprise software company Trilogy where he held roles in finance and new product development, and he also founded Internet marketing firm Brainstorm Labs. Mr. Allemann graduated first in his class from the University of Texas Business Honors Program with a degree in finance, and served as Chairman of the Business Honors Program Alumni Board.

Tom Hochstatter - Vice President, Business Development

Tom Hochstatter brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to Fluid Innovation. He joined Fluid in 2007 after serving as Director for Yahoo!, where he directed the Business Development group for Technology Partnerships. Mr. Hochstatter has more than 20 years of sales, marketing and business development experience with Fortune 500 companies such as IBM/Tivoli and Microsoft’s Corporate Marketing Team, where he was an active participant in the epic desktop application and OS battles. Mr. Hochstatter holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and Marketing from Central Washington University.

Dr. John Butler

John Sibley Butler is the Director of the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship and the Director of the Institute for Innovation and Creativity (IC2) at The University of Texas at Austin.  In his role at IC2 he is a thought leader for technology commercialization and entrepreneurship.  He holds The Gale Chair in Entrepreneurship and Small Business in the Graduate School of Business (Department of Management) and the Herb Kelleher Chair in Entrepreneurship.  Dr. Butler is also a presidential nominee to the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. 

John Ferrell

John Ferrell is a founding partner of Palo Alto, California’s Carr & Ferrell LLP, one of Silicon Valley’s top technology law firms.  Mr. Ferrell has extensive experience in strategic counseling, patent opinion and litigation analysis, as well as trademark, copyright and trade secret matters. Distinguished by his demonstrated legal and technical expertise in computer, software and electronics issues, Mr. Ferrell has served as trusted counsel for many of the world’s premier technology companies. He's been listed by the Los Angeles Daily Journal as one of California's top Rainmakers, by San Jose Magazine as one of Silicon Valley's top Legal Eagles, and by San Francisco Magazine as one of Northern California's top lawyers.
Over the past decade, Mr. Ferrell has presented and spoken about patent and intellectual property issues at both legal and technology business forums around the globe. Additionally, he is a regular guest lecturer at Stanford University and Santa Clara University.

Shawn Rosenzweig

Shawn Rosenzweig is the Vice-President & General Counsel of Bayoud & Company, a private investment firm concentrating in real estate and corporate ventures. Mr. Rosenzweig also serves as Chief Operating Officer of Viva Productions, an interactive media company which is broadcast in more than 80 television markets throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia. Mr. Rosenzweig is a member of The University of Texas at Austin 1883 Council and serves on the Board of Directors of Congregation Shearith Israel and the St. Philips School and Community Center. Mr. Rosenzweig is a graduate of the The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his Bachelor in Business Administration, Master in Professional Accounting, and Juris Doctor.

Greg Stock

Greg Stock is Chief Executive Officer of Mirage Networks, a network access control company.  Under Mr. Stock’s guidance, Mirage has achieved 300% annual growth, enabling it to become the acknowledged leader in the Network Access Control (NAC) market. Previously, Mr. Stock served as Chief Marketing Officer for e-Security. Prior to e-Security, Greg helped to propel Global Trade Management pioneer, Vastera, to the market leader with more than 10 times the revenue of its nearest competitor.  He was instrumental in the company's successful initial public offering in September 2000. Prior to Vastera, Stock had a six-year tenure with Supply Chain Management leader, Manugistics, as he helped the company grow to approximately $200M in annual revenues. Prior to Manugistics, Mr. Stock held key positions at IBM Corporation and Chrysler Motors. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Pennsylvania State University.
